winter break time wisely

1. Wake up early. nothing eats away winter break the moping around beneath in the covers. decide the prevouis day when you will get out of bed, then make sure follow through.
 during the few days of vacation, chances are that you will relish the opportunity to sleep in. it's okay to do this and give yourself a break, because your body will naturally put itself on a schedule to wake itseld up earlier.
2. Maintain good health and hygiene. brush your teeth and bathe often. make sure to use sunblock even in the cold , and remeber that the only healthy tan is a spray-on! winter is a great time to get in shape, or stay in shape. Consider joining a sport, or at the very least get outside and have fun everyday.
3.Study. particularly if you are a high school student, studying remains essential even though the school year is in short recess. look over last years notes or do some reasearch into what next years courses have in store. when school resumes you will be glad  that your academic knowledge and skills have not detoriated you will be ready and not panicking that you don't know something. most of you already know if you have homework reading or toher research stay on top of it. you will be grateful when you return to school. keep your brain active. read for school or pleasure, research your own interests or even just a crossword puzzle.
4. Follow a routine. however loose the structure will both motivate you and keep hours spent doing nothing to a minimum. don't play to many video games and even if it might be cold go out for a few hours every week.
5. Join a volunteer group of some sort. all communities have some sort of soup kitchen, or place where someone might need your help or you can start working  on finding leads for the community service you will have to do in the future to graduate. you can help out in church, or other place in the city. you will stay in contact with friends, have a great sense of accomplishment, stay active and even help others.
6. Start a summer job. this may differ depending on your age. however, make sure that it's age-appropriate and that you will follow through. some ideas might be working at a swapmeet, babysitting, lawn care or getting a lead in future job.
7. Go to a camp or learn something new
8. stay active in your society.
9.Read at least one book.
