With temptation, everything becomes real and many act in a negative action. But the greatest test you will ever receive is survival. But if you  CTW and decide to not follow the rules then you could all your freedom. Like for example if you decide to steal something and you get caught, then you could probably lose your freedom, like going to jail. An example of being obedient is following we others tell you to do if its for a good thing, like laws and rules. This quote relates to our life planning journal because We have to understand that there is authority that we have to follow and only will that our goals will be accomplished.

Personal development attribute

Behavior

Def: the way in which one acts or conducts oneself, especially toward others.

Reflection:
This attribute I chose because I feel is very important. Why you may ask well how you behavior is determines how your day goes. If your behavior is angry then all day you will be grumpy and giving everyone attitude. That's the other thing your behavior leads to your attitude. They basically just not help but rely on one another due to being very similar. This as well had to do how you conduct yourself in other words your behavior. If your behavior is positive then most likely your day will go very well . It all depends on you and how you want your day to go on. For example you get into an argument with your friend but thing were interpreted wrongly and you talk to her calmly and respectfully then screaming or yelling back and your behavior turning angry things will be talked out.

This basically means that one with a smile is one can brighten someone else day. You never know what one goes through and I'm sure you yourself when your feeling depressed wants someone to be there to support them and care for them. So one should show the care back because it really does help when one knows that others are there for them. For example if you see a friend looks down ask them whats wrong to show you care and I'm sure they would appreciate it.

"At the end of the day we are accountable to ourselves - our success is a result of what we do."
Reflection:
What this quote signifies is that us ourselves are in charge always of out actions and doings so whether the end of is a positive or negative result we are the only ones to blame for it or contribute to our well done choice. No one else but we are better to know what benefits us and soothes our life. For example let's say one day you have two choice either go to school and get your education or ditch with your friends to an amusement park your choice will determine the route you take. Either you stay in school and get done with day or go to the amusement park and have assignments and grading delayed. Your choice is not to blame on your friends but you because we ourselves decide what is most important and are responsible for our doings.

5 of 10

Initiative
5 of 10

Initiative is integrity, inventiveness, originality, ingenuity, imagination. Every time you respond in class, every time you choose your own research topic, every time you put together your own interpretation of a piece of literature, you take initiative. And future employers value can-do professionals who come up with new ideas and a chart of their own course projects, employees who are self-reliant. Self-reliant people are self-starters who don’t procrastinate on getting the job done. They know what is required to do and do it. They don’t wait to be told many times. Succeeding in high school, college, and in the career world is taking the initiative.

5 tips for staying motivated tips 1-2

5 tips for staying motivated
Tips1-2
To succeed in high school and college, you have to do your best at all times. But sometimes it’s hard to stay motivated, even when you rarely care about the work you’re doing.  Here are five ways.
1.  Focus on high-impact activities
The key to success in school is staying focused on your course work. Make a list to get an overall picture of your workload before you start to tackle any of it. Then, make a plan. Although it’s tempting to do the simplest assignments first, those that take more time and effort to accomplish are probably the ones that you’ll learn the most from.
To determine what your priorities are rank your assignments in the order of importance. Then rearrange your time and devote more energy toward those that have the greatest impact on your course work and grades. For example, even though all homework assignments are important, studying for a midterm exam takes priority over writing a paragraph for English class. As you complete each task, think of it as another step on your way to college success.
2.  Create new challenges
Changing your approach can help you stay interested in what you’re doing. If you’ve been given an assignment similar to one you’ve done in the past, think about it in a different way. If you wrote an essay for a creative writing assignment last year, try a poem this time. For book reports, pick a history book instead of another biography.

Note-Taking Strategies

Part 1

How to Get Your Class Notes into Shape

Getting the most out of high school and college means studying hard and using your time in class wisely. An effective note-taking strategy can help you do both. Here are the basics.

Stay Organized

It may seem obvious, but your class notes can only help you if you can find them. When you’re taking notes be sure to:
  •   Keep all your notes in one place.
  •   Date and number pages; keeping them in order makes it easier to understand them later.

Before class

Review the materials assigned for that class period thoroughly. Bring a list of any questions you may have.

Distance Education: Is a virtual Classroom for You?

Part 2
Positive aspects of Distance Education
  •  Independent and time management: Taking courses online lets you hone your ability to work on your own. You also gain experience in managing you time efficiently.
  • A flexible schedule: School can only provide a certain number of class periods in a single school day, and there may not be enough time for you to take everything you want. Because distance education lets you take classes outside regular school hours, it gives you the flexibility to explore all your areas of interest.
  •  Advanced and specialized classes: Some schools can’t provide advanced or specialized classes. Distance education gives you the chance to gain experience in areas that would otherwise remain out of reach.

Distance education: is a virtual classroom for you ? part 1

Distance Education: Is a Virtual Classroom for You?

Part 1

You may want to take a class that your high school doesn't offer. Under some circumstances, you can enroll in the class- through distance learning.

Distance education means taking a class without being physically present where it is being taught. Internet-based technology lets students participate in lectures and class sessions online from almost anywhere.

Some high schools agree to recognize distance-learning credits when they don’t have the resources to offer a course themselves. Distance education is often used to increase options rural areas and for AP courses.

For you, it might mean doing self-tutorial at home in the evening, or participating in a class that is 1,000 miles away, along with other high school students. Check with your school counselor to see what’s available.

Balancing High School and Part-Time Work
Part 4
He reminds students that “the activities and courses students choose cay considerably, so it’s important for young people to keep their individual situations clearly in mind.” MacGowan continues, “For example, student actors should allow for the fact that they won’t have as much time during performance seasons. Student athletes need to remember the times of the year that they’ll be tied up with games and practices. Other students who are in classes that make considerable demands outside of the classroom must keep that reality in mind.”

Balancing High School and Part-Time Work

Part 2

Voicing your goal to someone else can help you make decisions and figure out your priorities. It can also help you judge whether you can do both- work and study- successfully. To help answer this question, ask yourself:
  • o   Am I an organized person?
  • o   What kind of study habits do I have?
  • o   Do I make good use of my available time?
  • o   Will I be able to manage my schedule effectively if I take on a part-time job?

Think about the pros and cons of working. On the plus side, a job can teach you about commitment, time management and responsibility- and, of course, handling money. On the minus side, a job can cut into the time you have for sleeping, studying and socializing.

Important considerations

You have to weigh a number of factors when deciding whether to take on a part—time job. It’s important to get as much information as possible, so you can figure out what choice makes the most sense for you.

Schedule a meeting with your school counselor to discuss the idea of working. Talk to your counselor about why you want to work and what type of job you would like.

Selecting Your Courses
Part 5
The Arts
Research indicates that students who participate in the arts often do better in school and on standardized tests. The arts help you recognize patterns, discern differences and similarities, and exercise your mind in unique ways, often outside a traditional classroom setting.
Many colleges require or recommend one or two semesters in the arts. Good choices include studio art, dance, music, and drama. Many students have talents and extraordinary abilities in the arts. Students should look within their own repertoire of talents and identify their artistic abilities and take college classes to develop their talents.
Advances Placement Program (AP)
To be sure you are ready to takes on college-level work, enroll in the most challenging courses you can in high school, such as honors or AP courses. Research consistently shows that students who score a 3.0 or higher on an AP Exam typically experience greater academic success and college graduation rates than students who don’t take AP.
Work hard in your righteous pursuits, and you will reap the benefits of self-fulfillment and job satisfaction. Don’t take shortcuts just to “get by,” instead, take challenging and difficult roads (courses) and reach higher mountain peaks of achievement.

Science

Science teaches you to think analytically and apply theories to reality. Colleges want to see that you’ve taken at least three years of laboratory science classes. A good combination includes two semesters of each of the following science:
