"The six attitudes Of High Achiever's"

"The six attitudes Of High Achiever's"
High Achievers.....

1.Make no small plans

Reflection: What this means is that do not make small plans therefore do big, huge , jumbo plans. Why you may ask well maybe because small plans do not require much thought and just very little thinking. In other words small plans are lack of effort because not much is done to be involved in it. But if it's huge plan you think about it over and over and make sure every detail in your plan is accurate. As well as appropriate and processed well that you do not fail at it maybe but work your way up towards that big plan. A small plan can be as paying attention in class yes its important but plan out more that you won't let your education be disrupted. That you will follow procedures and do all homework, classwork, come to school, come to tutoring if necessary.
Quote:  "Make no little plans; they have no magic to stir men's blood and probably themselves will not be realized."-Daniel Burnham

2. Do What They Fear

Reflection: You have to get out of your comfort zone because if you fear something then that would be one motive or excuses to stop what you want to do. Fear should be a goal for you to overcome and once you overcome your fear then feel that there is many things that you can do.that are you willing to take whatever comes to it like making the people in power be against you by fearing your idea. The quote i have chose means to do one thing that scares you every day, its more of a challenge in your courage. A lot of people would go and try to reach their goal, but along the way someone tells them to give up because they don't have that potential to  work in the job or industries. What they have to do is not give up and  prove them wrong, and this  would make them fear you. This would make them fear you because they saw how much potential you really have and this can scare them.
Quote:  "The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown."-H. P. Lovecraft

3. Are willing to prepare
Reflection:    We do not like to wait and prepare for something greater, we all ways want our recompense right away instead of waiting for it to get better.
Being prepared for anything is one of the most essential key thing for survival. Its also your responsibility to be prepared for school every single day otherwise you wont be able to graduate. In the world everyone needs to be prepared otherwise we wont get far in life which is very important. Somebody who is never prepared will never strive or make in life between his/ hers career between a person that always strives and is prepared. What the quote means is if you’re wiling to sacrifice for your passion then you should be prepared with the hard working coming with it.
Quote:  "Success depends upon previous preparation, and without such preparation there is sure to be failure." -Confucius

4. Are willing to risk failure
Reflection:  Willing to risk failure  is to risk failure is important because you will not always be perfect. Life will always have it ups and downs and you have to admit to failure when you couldn’t make it right.  Failure is in every person there is not a single person that has not tried a something and failed. If they say they have never failed is either because the are lying or they just have not mature enough to accept failure. This is applied everywhere, not only at school or at the work force. An example of this is if a person decides to open a business and fails. It might not be because he was not good enough for his businesses to prosper, or for it to be known, but it could be that he was afraid of letting his little business fail that he did not think about every little detail, and therefore he risked everything. In order to be successful you need to take risk if you don't then you wouldn't know weather you will or not be successful. Just like the second ways says " great achievers do what they fear." If you fear to take risks than take it.
Quote:  "The biggest risk is not taking any risk... In a world that changing really quickly, the only strategy that is guaranteed to fail is not taking risks." -Mark Zuckerberg

5. Are Teachable
Reflection: Teachable being that eligible to be taught and get knowledge. Therefore someone that has the time and patience and wanting most of all to be expanded in their knowledge. Like in the picture above the BEST LEADERS are TEACHABLE which in a way is true. You have to be taught first in order to know who you want to be. If the person is not willing to be taught then how are they going to reach true success, everyone comes from being taught no one comes out of the blue knowing everything that’s why there is people to guide you and teach you for then later on you can reach the success you want.
Quote: “What I believe is that all clear-minded people should remain two things throughout their lifetimes: Curious and teachable.” ― Roger Ebert

6. Have Heart
Reflection: Having a heart well obviously everyone has one of-course to live. Nut as in being compassionate, loving others, being kind, honest, trustworthy. Having a heart can mean so many things but to me is being compassionate, whether it be towards a stranger or someone in your family or a friend is practically having emotions.  What this can be is lets say you see a homeless man and hes hungry and you have a spare lunch, or something your not going to eat, have a heart and instead of throwing it away give it to them. It could also mean be merciful; show pity, be considerate or be sympathetic.
Quote:  “Have a heart that never hardens, and a temper that never tires, and a touch that never hurts.”― Charles Dickens

Overall Reflection:

Overall this assignment of the 6 attitudes of High Achievers. One make no small plans In other words small plans are lack of effort because not much is done to be involved in it. But if it's huge plan you think about it over and over and make sure every detail in your plan is accurate. Two do what they fear , You have to get out of your comfort zone because if you fear something then that would be one motive or excuses to stop what you want to do. Fear should be a goal for you to overcome and once you overcome your fear then feel that there is many things that you can do.that are you willing to take whatever comes to it like making the people in power be against you by fearing your idea. Three are willing to prepare, Being prepared for anything is one of the most essential key thing for survival. Its also your responsibility to be prepared for school every single day otherwise you wont be able to graduate. Four willing to risk failure,Willing to risk failure  is to risk failure is important because you will not always be perfect. Life will always have it ups and downs and you have to admit to failure when you couldn’t make it right.  Five is teachable, Teachable being that eligible to be taught and get knowledge. Personal Development Quote

- Thomas Carlyle

"A man without a goal is like a ship without a rudder."

Attribute:
Goal

Reflection:
This quote has basically most to do with a goal. It is very similar to a quote i researched:
"Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into the visible."
Therefore it means that how are you going to do or create something when you have no expectation out of it or lets say no plan. So like living a live without a purpose or a meaning yet, having no direction or destination to go to. Therefore the purpose for one to have a life is to have a plan so you can make sure you have the steps ready to get there. Like Buddha once said "one who knows" if you know how to get there and all the steps your in the right path because those are goals. For example: Lets say you have as a goal to pass an exam. There already your goal is set and done which one should always have. Now since you have a goal it is a motivation for you to initiate steps on how you will accomplish a goal. One step leads to another its just for you to comprehend that and acknowledge you have to put effort in it.
This quote relates to our life planning goals because we all have things we want to accomplish and do in life therefore we have goals set for us.

6 OF 10

Cool Under Pressure
6 of 10

Very few students enjoy taking tests. Yet functioning well under pressure is crucial to your future success. Try thinking of the pressure of testing as practice for the work world’s own explosive situations. You could someday find yourself meeting tight deadlines, speaking with irate customers, wielding a scalpel or handling dangerous chemicals.

The best way to curtail pressure and to even eliminate it is to prepare. Applying the motto “Be Prepared” holds true first time and every time. Prepare for that test, and you won’t worry about it. In fact, it will be your chance to shine, to reveal the hard work you have put into preparing for the test. You will be rewarded for the effort you have thrust into your studies. Preparation removes fear. When you are prepared, you will not fear. Preparation helps you maintain your cool under pressure. Preparation generates energy and enthusiasm; therefore, prepare and your coolness under pressure is sure to abound.

part 1 balancing high school and part time work

Balancing high-school and part-time work.

Part 1

Like many high school student, you may want—or need –to work part-time. Working takes a lot of time and energy, though, so before getting a job, make sure that you think about your ability to handle both work and your education.

Important considerations

You have to weigh a number of factors when deciding whether to take on a part—time job. It’s important to get as much information as possible, so you can figure out what choice makes the most sense for you.

Schedule a meeting with your school counselor to discuss the idea of working. Talk to your counselor about why you want to work and what type of job you would like.

part 4 and S.S.S.

The Power of Study Groups
Part 4
Getting the Most Out of a Session
Here are some tips to help your group get the most out of each study session:
Ø Decide what you’re going to do in advance.
Ø Prepare for the session, so you can make the most of your time together.
Ø Take turns teaching, to reinforce your own knowledge.
Ø Stick to the session topic.
By supplementing your individual study with a study group, you can reinforce what you've learned, deepen your understanding of complex concepts, and maybe even make a few new friends. Remember that a friend is a person who encourages you to do your best and to achieve on a high level, one who pushes you to try a little harder and be a little better. If someone pulls you down the wrong trails of life, then those people are not friends, (they are actually your enemies), and you must avoid them at all cost. Whoever said learning can’t be fun? Learning is enjoyable and exciting when you study with others.

habit 7 part 2 & s.s.s.

7 Habits of Highly Successful Teens
Habit 7
Part 2
Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw

3.    Heart: Always do what is right so your heart, your conscience, will feel peaceful. When you do wrong, your conscience will prick you and create regretful sensations within your heart. When you do what you honestly feel, you won’t have any regrets. Your heart is your internal compass—its gives you direction and discernment. Just like a magnetic compass gives you directions, even true north, your personal compass, your heart, will point you in the true north, the exact directions and paths you need to trod.
4.     Soul: Study scriptures and other sacred literature daily. In other words, feed your spirit because your spirit needs spiritual food just like your physical body needs temporal food to survive. Pondering, meditating, and reflecting are excellent Soul-sharpening activities. Try writing your thoughts, feelings, aspirations, concern, and decisions in a diary or journal. Writing helps you focus and make good decisions.

Get into the habit of daily improving your body (physical fitness), your mind, your heat, and your soul.

part 6 & S.S.S.

7 Habits of Highly Successful teens
Habit 6
Habit 6: Synergize
Synergy is achieved when two or more people work together to create something better than either could alone. Through this habit, teens learn it doesn’t have to be “your way” or “my way” but rather better way, a higher way. Synergize allows teen to value differences and better appreciate others. Synergy is the reward, the delicious fruit you’ll taste as you get better at living the other habits, especially at thinking Win-Win and seeking first to understand. Learning to synergize is like learning to form V formations others instead of trying to fly through life solo. You’ll be amazed at how much faster and father you’ll go. Synergize doesn’t just happen. It’s a process. You have to get there. And the foundation of getting there is this: Learn to celebrate differences.

A good band is a great example of synergy. It’s not just the drums, or the guitar, or the sax, or the vocalist, it’s all of them together that make up the “sound.” Each band member brings his or her strengths to the table to create something better than each could alone. No instrument is more important than another, just different.

"All alone we can do so little; together we can do so much."-Helen Keller

REFLECTION: This to me means that maybe a person needs people needs others to get inspired or get something done, and can help each-other, but alone one doesn't really have an idea or clue what to do how to get it done.

part 3

7 Habits of Highly Successful Teens
Habit 3

Habit 3: put first things first
Habit three is all about WILL and WILL NOT power. This habit helps teens prioritize and manage their time so that they focus on and complete the most important things in their lives. Putting first things first also means learning to overcome fears and being strong during difficult times. Its living life according to what matters most. Putting first things first deal with things that are: important or not important, urgent or not urgent. Let’s look at the four quadrants of tie management.

Quadrant 1: things that are important or urgent

Quadrant 2: things that are important but not urgent

Quadrant 3: things that are not important but are urgent

Quadrant 4: things that are not important and not urgent.

1.Important & urgent
2.Important but not urgent
3.Not important but are urgent
4.NOT important and NOT urgent

Quadrant 2: is the ideal place to spend your time, doing things that are important but not urgent. Here’s where priorities come into play. The results for living quadrant 2 are:

1.   Control your life

2.   Balance

3.   High performance

So in what quadrant are you spending most of your time? The key is to shift as much time as possible into quadrant 2 and this is accomplished by planning. Spend more time planning and incorporating the most important things first, things that matter most. Keep your eye on the prize and reach for it.

Habit 2 & S.S.S.

7 Habits of Highly Successful Teens
Habit 2
Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind
If teens aren't clear about where they want to end up in life, about their values, goals, and what they stand for, they will wander, waste time, and be tossed to and fro by the opinions of others. Help your teen create a personal mission statement which will act as a road map and direct and guide his decision-making process.
“Keep your eyes on the prize.” Determine your desired prize and don’t quit until you have realized the achievement of your prize. Then set another prize, another goal or desire that you would really like to achieve. Begin with the achievement of your prize and mind. Visualize and then realize. Start by having a target in mind; know where you are going.
One prize or goal you definitely need to establish for yourself is the prize of an honorable graduation from high school-that you will receive your diploma honestly and with integrity- that you earned it with perfect honesty.

"The only difference between those who have failed and those who have succeeded lies in the difference of their habits. Good habits are the key to success. Bad habits are the unlocked door to failure. Thus, the first law i will obey, which precedeth all others is-- 'I will form good habits and become their slaves.' "--Og MANDINO

Examples: i don't know about an example because i don't really understand the quote like i understand it but not the end.

9

Successful Students
 9
9. Don’t cram for exams. Successful students know that divided periods of study are more effective than cram sessions, and they practice it.
If there is one thing that study skills specialists agree on, it is that distributed study is better than massed, late-night, last-ditch efforts know as cramming. You’ll learn more, remember more, and earn a higher grade by studying in four, one hour-a-night sessions for Friday’s exams than studying for four hours straight on Thursday night. Short, concentrated preparatory efforts are more efficient and rewarding than wasteful, inattentive, last moment marathons. Yet, so many students fail to learn this lesson and end up repeating it over and over again until it becomes a wasteful habit. Not too clever, huh?
When you cram, you are taking the shortcut, and shortcuts never produce any real worthwhile results. Also, when you take shortcuts, you feel rather rotten knowing that you could have done better but didn't  Shortcuts cut you short. You can’t plant watermelon seeds and harvest fresh watermelons the next day. It takes time. Cramming for a test or project and expecting to make a high score the next day is like planting watermelon seeds and expecting to harvest and eat fresh watermelon the next day. Plus cramming for a test or project doesn't help you academically, so why even do it. Plan ahead, prepare ahead. Give yourself plenty of days and weeks to prepare for upcoming accountability opportunities.

successful student 1-2 & S.S.S.

Successful student
1-2
Successful students exhibit a combination of successful attitudes and behaviors as well as intellectual capacity. Successful students…..
1.   …Are responsible and active. Successful students get involved in their studies, accept responsibilities for their own education, and are active participants in it! Responsibilities mean control. It’s the difference between leading and being led. Your own efforts control your grade, you earn the glory or deserve the blame, you make the choice. Active classroom participants improves in grades without in cress in study time. You can sit there, act board, day dream, or sleep. Or, you can actively listen, think, question, and take note like someone in charge of their learning experience. Ether potion cost one class period. However, the former method will require a large degree of additional work outside of class to achieve the same degree of learning the letter provides at one sitting. The choice is yours.
2.   … Have educational goals. Successful students have legitimate goals and are motivated by what they represent in terms of career aspirations and life’s desires.
Ask yourself these questions: what am I doing here? Why have I chosen to be sitting here now? Is there some better place I could be? What does my present here mean to me? Answer to these questions represent your “hot buttons” and are, without a doubt, the most important factor in your success as a college student. If you’re educational goals are truly yours, not someone else's, they will motivate a vital and positive academic attitude. If you are familiar with what these hot buttons represent and refer to them often, especially when you tired of being a student, nothing can stop you; if you aren't and don't, everything can and will!

REFLECTION:To make sure that whatever you do its the right and not wrong look both ways before picking the path and make sure you won't regret
