the working notebook is the daily notebook tooken to class. it holds all the papers and information needed each day. any three-ring binder can serve as a working notebook; the nylon zippered type tends to last longer. your working notbook should contain:
-A portable three-hole punch
-A zippered pouch with three holes to hold highlighters, pencils, pens, clips, "sticky notes", and other small supplies
-A monthly calendar
-A ruler
-Section dividers for each subject labeled HW. notes, handouts, and quizzes/tests
-An assignment book
These items are available at most office supply stores in a three-hole punched format so they can be easily inserted into the notebook. This is important, because if the items are not attached to the notebook, they will get lost in backpacks or left at home or school.
One working notebook for all of your child's classes might be too large for some students, especially if they are in high school. Two medium-size notebooks with thwo or three subjects in each is an alternative to one large notebook. Morning classes might be placed in one, and afternoon classes might be placed in another.
Whichever alternative noted above that you choose, the important thing is that on a daily basis, you should date, three-hole punch, and a file any of this school papers under the appropriate divider for each subject. You should also note assignments in detail in his assignment book.

Prompt 4
Thanks to the internet, people have more access to more info than any time in history. People can instantly find info on almost any topic in the time it takes to type a couple of words and a click of a mouse. But we often know so little about the source of this info, including its reliability and the qualifications of the person who wrote it. If we don't know its source, information is not much good to us.
Assignment:
1. Do people need to know the source of any information before they use it?
--I think people should know because it will help them just in case if they want to go back to that page/website. Also to find if the website or source is from a safe website or a virus.
2. Plan and write an essay in which you develop your point of view on this issue. Support the postition with reasoning and examples taken from your reading, studies, experience, or observations.
--For i usually always use the internet to help me out on the projects or essays or writtings. But know that i think about it i usually never check the sources sometimes i do but not very often. Most of the time i just look for an asnwer or idea but never mind to look at the source unless the teacher tells me i need to include where i got the information from.
Now i do consider to look at the source bause i never know if what they state in the page is true or not. Or even if the source is safe because you never know what the persond behind the source is thinking or doing. People should be able to check the website with out them feeling that was is in the page is false or information is stolen from another source little things like these are very important.

Advisory
Many colleges now offer courses in which students study television programs, comic books, magazines, advertizing, and other aspects of popular culture. Critics complain that schools shouldn't replace serious literature and history courses with such fluff. They claim that courses in popular culture present material that is trivial and inconsequential. But the study of popular culture can be jus as important, demanding, and instructive as the study of traditional subjects.
Assignment:
Can the study of popular culture be as valuable as the study of tradiontional literary and historical subjects?
Well for me its neither a yes or no. It's more of a they could include both because there is nothing wrong with the new culture from the old.
Wrtite about it expressiong your point of view on this issue.
The study of popular culture can be as valuable as the study of traditional literary and historical subjects because the study of popular culture can prepare students for a successful social life and a successful career.Well like i stated above im not against it or forward it. I think they should teach both but an equal amount of both so one material won't be left out. Because if you leave out one the others will be complaining about it so i think both used is enough.
Because now a days i think students would also much prefer the new popular culture because we basiclly know all about it. We live in a world where everything is about technology now so in a way it would be better to have it this way. the study of popular culture can be as valuable as the study of traditional literary and historical subjects because the study of popular culture can prepare students adulthood. Technological advancements have influenced many career tracks, and students must receive the good training to stand out in their careers.. Popular culture not only educates us on values that will be useful, but it reveals this to us in many different forms that we enjoy. It has been proven that when you learn about something you enjoy, you are apt to pay more attention. Culture is no exception, since it teaches us through TV, music, and the most important, most often used, the internet.

Is it possible for a society to be fair to everyone? Plan and write an essay in a new post of your portfolio in which you develop your point of view on this issue. Support your position with reasoning and examples taken from your reading, studies, experience, or observations.
It is possible for a society to be fair because everyone can change but depends if they want to change. like i said it's up to people to change because not everyone will accept the fact that society will change.
The day will come off course of people but some people say this"Life isn't fair. We have been taught that since we were born." And this in a way is true because depending how we've been raised will determine our agreements when we are older because that is what we have been taught and how we will teach others.
I think society could be fair because everyone is good at something. People would make it unfair though because they are the reason society is unfair. Everyone has a talent and it would be hard if no one could show off their talents or inspire others. You should be able to express any thing you want to in any way, with no restrictions. Life is not fair today in many aspects but we can still have the pursuit of knowledge, athletics or any thing else we want to. No one should ever be discriminated in this society yet there are so many people that do it even if its because you have no knowledge or aren't good at something as others. People make you less just because you don't have certain qualities that they have.
